Title: Accounts Assistant (Part Time)

Hourly rate:  £12.50 - £13.00 per hour

Working hours:  Monday - Thursday - 10:00am - 2pm (16 hours across 4 days, can be flexible on start & finish times)

Location: Ripley, Derbyshire

VH Talent is excited to be working in partnership with our client, a small family run business that operates internationally to appoint a Part TimeAccounts Assistant.

The successful candidate will report into the Accounts Manager, providing support with Purchase Orders, Invoicing and Finance Administration. This role is a unique opportunity working with a great team, including their office dog!

The Accounts Assistant Role:

• Inputting of purchase invoices onto Sage
• Processing payment of purchase invoices onto Sage for the weekly payment run
• Matching receipts to the credit card statement
• Processing receipts onto Sage from the credit card statement
• Occasionally raising sales invoices
• Raising storage charge invoices
• Updating excel spreadsheets
• Processing weekly meal allowances on Sage (POA)
• Monthly supplier statement reconciliation
• Filing of invoices
• Processing of Holiday spreadsheet
• Covering some duties for Accounts Manager whilst their on annual leave
• Processing of sub-contractors invoices & logging them under the right project number
• Other ad hoc administrative duties to support the business as required

You’ll Need:

• Must be experienced in Microsoft packages including: Excel, Word and Outlook
• Proficient in Sage - experience of Sage Projects would be advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail and administrative experience
• Good customer service skills and comfortable with answering incoming calls 
• Highly organised and adopts a pro active approach with the ability to use own initiative to drive tasks to completion and able to make decisions
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask when needed
• During busier times, extra hours may be required to support the department and wider business
