Accounts Clerk
On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a proactive Accounts and Administration Clerk who possesses experience in, or the ability to quickly learn, all facets of an accounts department.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 0900-1700hrs
Salary: Commensurate with experience

Accounts Clerk Requirements for the Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrated success with a minimum of two years' experience in an accounts department, preferably with a focus on sales ledger.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills coupled with a welcoming demeanor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Sage, and Excel.
- Strong team player with dynamic capabilities.
- Proficient in both Maths and English.
Accounts Clerk Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Liaising with customers to ensure prompt payments and issuing legal notices to address payment defaults as needed.
- Conducting account and bank reconciliations, including factoring services.
- Sending weekly reminders to customers.
- Generating and distributing statements.
- Handling VAT returns.
- Allocating daily payments.
- Sending duplicate invoices and processing supplier invoices.
- Assisting in resolving queries when required.
- Generating insurance certificates for cargo.
- Providing adhoc and holiday coverage for overseas accounts and purchase ledger responsibilities.
- Assisting with year-end procedures.
