Accounts Clerk

Location: East of England, Essex, Basildon

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time | 5 days in office per week

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

In2 Consult are partnering with a growing logistics company looking to expand it's accounting team. This opportunity will be great for candidates looking for long term progression opporunities within a global business. The role covers many areas within transactional finance, as well as the opportunity to communicate directly with internal and external stakeholders to take and manage ownership of the smooth running of the function.

• Management of GBP supplier ledgers, statements, account queries, rocessing and recording financial transactions
• Assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions
• Supplier payment processing
• Processing of receipts into bank
• Chasing for settlement of overdue debts
• Assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions
• Reconciling bank statements and accounts
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to communicate with external suppliers/customers and staff at all levels of the
  organisation (essential)

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and organisational skills

• AAT qualification or equivalent in Accounting (ideal)
• GCSEs in Maths and English

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
