Description
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Processing purchase invoices at a high volume.
- Processing exceptions.
- Maintaining and building relationships with credit control staff.
- Updating the Accounts Payable on a daily.
- Conducting supplier statement reconciliations.
- Posting of bank statements on a daily.
- Processing high volumes of reconciliations.
- General Ad-hoc duties.
- Supporting across the finance division as and where needed.
Profile
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
- Our client is looking for a candidate who holds previous experience within Accounts Payable so that they are able to step into this role confidently.
- Prior use and solid working knowledge of SAP would be preferable however, not a must.
- The successful candidate will be confident and have a calm manner in able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team when working towards meeting deadlines, particularly with regard to month end close.
- Previous study towards a recognised accounting qualification; or a willingness to begin studying would be an advantage (AAT).
Job Offer
