Location: Kingston upon Thames
Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm (with some flexibility)
Salary: £25,000 -£27,000 per annum
Full time office-based role

We are currently recruiting for a small specialist company working in partnership with the IT industry. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for processing invoices for contractors working for large corporate organisations based globally and in the UK

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving and logging invoices
• Entering invoices into the Accounts Payable system
• Processing payments for non-standard payments and processes depending on the client’s requirements
• Maintaining and updating an Accounts Payable system
• Filing and maintaining client / contractor records
• Chasing for data and documentation via email
• Checking and verifying invoices.
• Preparing payments for weekly and monthly invoices in accordance with client requests and terms
• Preparing payments in sterling and multi-currency
• Generating financial statements and reports
• Performing other ad hoc tasks as required by the Director

Person Specification

• This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance assistant or Accounts Payable Assistant seeking a fresh challenge
• A good understanding of basic Accounts Payable systems and procedures is essential, although training will be provided.
• Proven ability of working in a fast-paced role processing a high volume of non-standard invoices.
• Numerate
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial
• High level of proficiency using MS Excel
• Knowledge of Xero and CRM systems will be advantageous
• Ability to grasp information and pick things up quickly
• Strong communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work autonomously and on own initiative
• Comfortable working in a small office environment
• Reliable and adaptable with a can do and positive approach to work
• Live within an easily commutable distance from Kingston upon Thames
