An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Accounts Payable/ Junior Management Accountant to join our Finance Team in our Luton Office.
Hamberley Care Homes operate over 20 luxury care homes throughout the UK and due to an expansion of our services we are currently recruiting for an experienced Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team.
You will have proven experience working in a fast paced and challenging environment. You are ideally someone who thinks about the impact on the Finance areas and wider Business and likes to challenge the status quo and above all values the need for procedure & controls.

What you’ll be doing:

Some of the things you'll do in the role include:
- Working as a key Account Payable team member within the fast-growing company
- Process supplier invoices from receipt to authorisation then to payment.
- Balance sheet reconciliation and posting month-end journal entries;
- Reviewing and processing expense claims and initial payroll summaries;
- Liaising with other departments within the group, suppliers and customers;
- Maintaining and organising financial records;
- Setting up payments and doing bank reconciliations;
- Some profit & Loss/Balance sheet account Reviews;
- Analysis of key cost accounts.
- Other ad hoc finance and administrative tasks.

About You:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Very strong excel and analytical skills, including knowledge of Xero or similar accounting software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and self-management skills.
- Ability to cope under pressure and deliver during periods of change.
- A flexible, pro-active and willing approach and be comfortable working within a team.
- An innovative and inquisitive mind to challenge and improve existing and new process and controls.
- Are a self-starter with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- You'll be well organised, and able to prioritise work based on urgency.
