A Housing Association is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Manager for at least 6 months on a temporary basis.
Key responsibilities
Ensure supplier accounts reconciled in line with statements provided
Creating comprehensive data analysis of reconciliations to interpret and communicate to directors and heads of service across the business, the action required by their teams to clear any blockers to payment of invoices
To deputise Head of Finance Operations, taking ownership of communication with senior management and maintaining a well established relationship in a high pressure environment
Ensure you follow the financial regulations, policies and procedures
Ensure that you follow relevant Health and Safety policies and related procedures, keeping up to date with changes and taking action to maintain personal health and safety and that of others.
Take responsibility for the co-ordination and delivery of a consistent, reliable, customer focused service. Ensuring value for money and responsive services to all customers of the company, internally and externally
PAYE rate £18.65 Umbrella rate £24.50
Essential Requirements
Must have a comprehensive background in Accounts Payable with some management responsibilities
Understanding of double entry bookkeeping
Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end procure to payment process
Advanced excel skills in pivot/summary tables and vlookups essential
Proven experience with Accounts Payable and accounting packages - at an advanced level demonstrating the ability to use and interpret statistical information
Proven and advanced knowledge of producing and reviewing of bank, balance sheet and supplier reconciliations Knowledge
Desirable but not essential, knowledge of Sun accounting
