Accounts Payable Manager

My client is a large FMCG company based in Manchester. Due to the current incumbent leaving the business they are recruiting this role on a permanent basis into their fast-paced and expanding finance function, with excellent opportunities to progress and further your career.
As an Accounts Payable Manager you will be the face of the Accounts Payable function and will have complete autonomy over this area of the business. You will manage a team of 9 Accounts Payable Clerks and ensure they are operating as efficiently as possible with their day to day tasks, setting and maintaining KPIs and generally increasing their overall performance. You will also be required to identify areas to improve processes, build solutions and then implement those solutions effectively into the team and business, as well as provide continuous improvement on systems and offer potential automation solutions. You will be involved with senior management meetings to provide updates on the performance of the Accounts Payable function and will liaise with various key stakeholders across the business to ensure all departments are working as cohesively as possible.
This role will suit a candidate who has experience managing high volume, fast-paced Accounts Payable functions in complex organisations and has proven experience improving processes and the overall efficiency of a finance team. Good communication skills are essential in order to liaise with various key stakeholders across the business effectively.
The salary on offer is paying up to £55,000 dependant on experience with an attractive benefits package that includes hybrid working, a generous holiday entitlement and company discounts.
