Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a well established and supportive small firm of accountants in Oswestry as they are looking to grow the team with the addition of an Accounts Senior or Accounts Assistant Manager.

This opportunity offers the successful individual the chance to play an integral role in the continued growth and development of the firm as you’ll work closely with the managing director, providing support to them with client liaison and supporting the development of less senior team members.

As an Accounts Senior or Accounts Assistant Manager in this small but prospering firm, your day to day role will see you engaging with a wide range of clients. The primary focus of your work will see you preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax compliance work for a range of limited companies and partnerships. You’ll also be responsible for reviewing Bookkeeping and VAT returns.

The firm are based in a spacious and modern office near Oswestry with plenty of parking. Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare accounts and compliance work.
Handle various tasks from company secretarial duties to different taxes.
Deal with limited companies (Ltds) and partnerships.
Use QuickBooks and/or Xero for accounting tasks.
Support the managing director with a wide variety of tasks.
Train and support less senior team members.
Communicate effectively with clients and potentially conduct client meetings.

Skills:

Fully AAT qualified / ACCA or ACA Qualified
Experience of working in practice is essential
Proficient in dealing with limited companies and partnerships.
Experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero.
Strong communication skills and a desire to engage with clients.
