The Opportunity
A modern accountancy firm based in Newcastle city centre with a strong emphasis upon people, an environment that fosters development, and a focus on ensuring work life balance (35 hour week) is offering hybrid working and flexible hours to the successful Accounts Senior.
The Role
Working with your own client portfolio preparing year end statutory accounts for small businesses in and around the million pound threshold, you will have resource to help you with the preparation ready for Partner review. You will also be responsible for reviewing work of the accounts prepared for you.
There will be regular client liaison and you will enjoy a sense of ownership and autonomy with your clients at the same time as having Partner lead at final client meeting, a great learning environment for you to fine tune your expertise.
There will be further opportunity to work with larger clients supporting the audit team with their year end accounts preparation which will provide exposure to different accounting challenges and increase your knowledge.
Experience
Working closely alongside the Accounts Manager you will be either Part, fully qualified or qualified by experience with a minimum of 3- 4 years time spent working in the profession with UK accounting. There is a huge opportunity to achieve Assistant Manager progression within a very short space of time for the ambitious, it is very much down to you to demonstrate you can operate at that level. Applications will be considered from individuals who have worked at any size firm as long as you can show your transferable skills.
