Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Accounts production and review.
- Bookkeeping and client management accounting (Xero expertise is advantageous), with knowledge of Sage and QuickBooks.
- Preparation of accounts and VAT returns for Sole Traders, Companies, and Partnerships.
- Processing journals and finalizing accounts.
- Accurate data entry and updating & Telephone liaison with clients.
- Planning, prioritizing, reviewing, and allocating all relevant client accounts preparation work, ensuring effective team briefings and overall workflow.
- Establishing scope and budget for each client work, providing adequate briefings to team members.
- Satisfactory completion of all client work within the agreed budget, adhering to relevant standards and procedures for easy review and sign-off by a principal.
- Monitoring work progress, ensuring appropriate communication with clients and the team on project or task progress.
- Assisting Managers in preparing bills for departmental work and ensuring timely dispatch to clients in accordance with the accounts planning document.
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:
- ACCA or ACA qualification.
- Accounts experience from a practice background.
- IT competency and familiarity with computerized packages.
- The ability to work on their initiative and be flexible.
- The ability to prioritize and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Additional Details:
- Full-time role – Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm (Hybrid working available after training – combination of office/home working).
- Remuneration dependent on experience.
- Right to work in the UK required.
