Context
You will be working in the Integrated Learning Disabilities Service which is a joint London Borough of Hackney and East London Foundation Trust (NHS) service that supports learning disabled adults and their families.
The service comprises nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, a dietician, a pharmacist, and business support staff.
You will be one of 4 business support staff We have two bases, one at Hackney Service Centre, Hillman Street, Hackney, and one at St Leonards Hospital in Haggerson.
Role
The role includes the following:
- Taking minutes of safeguarding meetings (meetings held under the London Multi-Agency Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedures)
- Taking minutes of other meetings such as team meetings
- Providing comprehensive business support to meetings including the Preparing for Adulthood meeting, the Joint Referrals Panel, and the Quality Assurance meeting.
- Maintaining logs and spreadsheets relating to the above meetings
- Business support to the duty desk which is the front door point of contact with the service for members of the public. This involves taking telephone calls, keeping records and passing on messages.
- Business support to psychiatry and psychology clinics held at our St Leonards Hospital site.
- The above tasks will in many cases be shared with other business support staff.
Experience required
- You will have experience of and be competent in taking minutes.
- You will have experience of and be competent in communicating with members of the public.
- You will be able to work collaboratively with business support and wider service colleagues in order to deliver a high quality service to the public.
- You will have good IT skills including use of spreadsheets.
