My client is looking for a Technical Admin Assistant to join their team in London. You will be reporting to the Senior Garment Technician and supporting the technical department across product categories and brands.
As a Technical Admin Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Setting up and updating technical workbooks for new styles with assistance
- Measuring and inspecting samples before fit sessions and noting any quality or inconsistency issues
- Logging and organising all fit, SMS, PP and production samples on the fit list and fit rail
- Taking notes and photos in fit and risk assessment meetings and inserting them into relevant documents
- Arranging bookings for models for fit sessions
- Assisting in sending out production grading to factories
- Chasing test reports and production AQLs and reviewing them with the technical team
- Giving approvals on wash care instructions
- Ensuring factory audits on our system are up to date and chasing factories to send updated audits
- Providing day to day support to garment and senior garment technologists
- Being responsible for all admin and filing associated with the technical department
- Building strong relationships with the factories, team and customers
- Supporting product development team with sample management and admin as and when required
- Providing support for all group brands within the business when required
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a Technical Admin Assistant in the fashion industry
- Knowledge of garment construction, fit and quality standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive and proactive attitude
- A keen interest in fashion and trends
The start date for this position is as soon as possible. The gross annual salary is £22,000 - £25,000, commensurate based on qualification and experience.
