Following an internal promotion, the governors are looking to appoint an experienced and hardworking Level 2Administration Assistant to work in the busy school office to support and work with the level 4 Administrator and School Business Manager.
You will be the first point of contact for staff, pupils, parents and visitors. Duties will include a variety of tasks including: answering and directing telephone calls, providing general administrative support, data entry, reprographics, administering first aid and distribution of stock/orders.
The successful candidate must have the following essential requirements:
- Experience within an administrative role (ideally within a school environment)
- Well-presented and professional at all times
- Able to deal with visitors in a calm and polite manner
- Be able to multi-task effectively
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Experience with IT (Excel, Word etc)
- Work on own initiative, as well as part of a team
- Trustworthy, honest and strong character
- Reliable
- The post holder will be expected to hold first aid training or be willing to attend training
The post is to commence as soon as possible.
The post is 22.5 hours per week 39 weeks per year (term time only). The hours are 8.30am to 4.00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Dudley MBC Grade 3 points 3 to 4 - £22,737 to £23,114 pro rota.
