As an administrative assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the business support function, responsible for providing administrative support to our team of professionals, including managing schedules, organising files, and handling correspondence.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently. They should have strong communication skills and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Birmingham
Hours: Monday to Friday, full time – Permanent
Salary: £22,000 - £23,500
The role:
- First to answer all incoming calls, redirect or take messages
- Answering of front door and greeting visitors – offering and making drinks
- Open all incoming post, stamping and sending of all outgoing post
- Stationery and toner checking and ordering
- Chasing, updating and completing diary entries
- Calling clients to chase paperwork, transfers etc, until completed
- Scanning and filing of client files
- Sending of letters of authority and chasing and completing policy information sheets
- Making reservations & travel arrangements for the director and adding them to his diary
- Assisting the Client Relationship Managers with any tasks required
The ideal candidate:
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Must have confident telephone manner.
- Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Takes pride in work and appearance
- Experience in an office-based environment
