Salary: £26,853.20 - £29,152.70 per annum
Contract Duration: Permanent

Role Purpose
An exciting position has become available within our Business Support Service at Scottish Borders Council. This role is responsible for the line management of nine members of staff within a Business Support Team. The Regulatory Business Support Team provides support to several different services within the Council: Planning, Building Standards, Environmental Health, Trading Standards and Animal Health, Heritage, and Design.
Day to Day tasks for this role include:
• General Office Admin Tasks (Dealing with mail, shared email mailboxes)
• Day to Day Resource Management and work allocation
• Use of Bespoke Software for producing various legal documents in relation to the Building Standards Procedures
• Creating cases for Environmental Health on the system
• Recording Legal Agreements for Developer Contributions
• Involvement in Improvement Projects
• Creating Planning and Building Standards Committee Appeals Report monthly
• Involvement in different working groups
• Quarterly Data Return to the Scottish Government

Essential
HNC/D in an appropriate Business subject or demonstrable equivalent experience
