We are currently seeking a Administrator to join out clients friendly, well established legal administration team. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is looking to build a career within legal. The selected candidate will need to be meticulous and highly organised due to the nature of the role - attention to detail is crucial.
Responsibilities
- Maintain databases for Wills and Deeds, ensuring accurate records for movement of all original documents stored.
- Responsible for the organisation, safe custodian and release of Wills, Lasting Power of Attorney’s, Probates, and other associated legal documents
- General administrative tasks
- Dealing with queries raised by clients, solicitors, executors, and family, whether face to face, by telephone, email, or letter
- Making detailed attendance notes of all correspondence
- Opening/closing files on the case management system
- Retrieval of documents from storage
- Scanning and photocopying of documents
- Preparing and submitting bills, receipts, and payments to the finance team
- Occasional reception cover
- Telephone answering
- Taking card payments.
- Open and sort incoming post
- Maintain diaries & booking of interview rooms.
- Prepare and deliver the banking.
- Take recorded mail and special deliveries to the Post Office
- Witnessing Wills & occasional home visit with Fee Earner
- Adhoc assistance required from Chief Operating Officer
The Candidate
- Preferably previous work experience in a law firm
- Advanced computer literacy (word, excel, outlook)
- Working knowledge of case management software – desirable not essential
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Driving Licence
