There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our PA to MD & Office Manager is looking to recruit an Administrator / Receptionist to join the Durham Division.
The Role
The role of Administrator / Receptionist will support the PA to MD & Office Manager in the day to day running of the office.
- Deal with telephone and e-mail enquiries
- Diary Management for Contracts Manager’s
- Support with New Site set up, organise phone connections, provide set up stationery, documentation, signage and necessary paperwork / files and supply of PPE
- Maintain attendance and overtime working records for site staff
- Organise staff training as directed by the Contracts Managers / PA to MD & Office Manager, maintaining records, certificates and the upkeep of the Divisions training matrix
- Ad hoc duties to include: Monthly Safety returns, Plot certificates, Site Inductions, ordering of uniforms
- Meeting & Greeting of visitors, ensuring they receive a warm welcome
- Switchboard duties – answering all internal & external telephone calls within a timely, professional & friendly manner
- Ordering of stationery, kitchen supplies & water deliveries
- Ad hoc duties to include letters, office checks, dealing with incoming & outgoing post
- Support the PA to MD & Office Manager with various ad hoc administrative duties
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
Experience
- Experience of working within a busy and fast-paced administrative role
- Experience of working within the Construction Industry desirable
- Experience of working as a Receptionist
Qualifications & Training
- GCSE Maths & English – Grade C or above (or equivalent)
Skills & Aptitude
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation & administration skills, including good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, remaining focused and motivated
- IT literate, with confidence to leave new systems quickly and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously
The Role & Working Conditions
- 37.5 hours per week over 5 days
- Lone Working
- Office based role
