Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment, harm reduction and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of our high performing psychosocial drug and alcohol service in HMP Birmingham.

We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate people work closely with services users to change and save lives. We combine proven expertise in treatment and recovery with innovative approaches and actively involve those we help in improving the design of the services we provide.

You will be based in our psychosocial team, supporting the both the management team and the Recovery Workers. You will provide a single point of proactive and regular contact for a range of professionals, and you will actively support the day to day running of the service. You will work in collaboration with partnership agencies as integrated working is a key element of this role. You will be working within the prison setting.

Having experience of working within teams that support people with complex health needs including substance misuse, will be helpful but is not essential.  You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of our service users to be healthier and safer by supporting the delivery of a high-quality service.

You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team; whilst also having the initiative to work independently as necessary and be able to work in partnership with other service providers. You will be proactive and self-motivated and have the ability to manage own time, prioritise activities and maintain accountability for your work.
