We are recruiting for an experienced Advertising Sales Consultant to join a successful publishing company based in central Edinburgh. Monday – Thursday 9am-5.30pm, Friday 9am – 5pm. Office based.
- Selling of magazine, supplement, wall planners, product guide, digital sales, podcasts, eshot etc.
- Maintain and develop established customer and prospect database.
- Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed budgets
- Manage personal time and productivity.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods
- Internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
- Use and update relevant information on CRM system.
- Respond to and follow up sales enquiries.
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide reports.
- Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
- Attend and present at external conferences within the UK
- Attend training to develop knowledge, techniques and skills.
- Ensure that magazine page plans are completed accurately for production on time along with Editorial Coordinator
- Advertising sales experience essential
- Good communicator with excellent people skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and working knowledge of CRM systems essential
- Driven with willingness to learn and evolve with the role
- Good organisational and time management skills
