Advertising Sales Consultant

We are recruiting for an experienced Advertising Sales Consultant to join a successful publishing company based in central Edinburgh. Monday – Thursday 9am-5.30pm, Friday 9am – 5pm. Office based.

• Selling of magazine, supplement, wall planners, product guide, digital sales, podcasts, eshot etc.
• Maintain and develop established customer and prospect database.
• Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed budgets
• Manage personal time and productivity.
• Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods
• Internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
• Use and update relevant information on CRM system.  
• Respond to and follow up sales enquiries.
• Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide reports.
• Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
• Attend and present at external conferences within the UK
• Attend training to develop knowledge, techniques and skills.
• Ensure that magazine page plans are completed accurately for production on time along with Editorial Coordinator
• Advertising sales experience essential
• Good communicator with excellent people skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and working knowledge of CRM systems essential
• Driven with willingness to learn and evolve with the role
• Good organisational and time management skills
