Salary: £101,932 - £160,000
Location: Edinburgh or Bristol
Hours: Full-time
Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Edinburgh office location.
About this opportunity:
The Digital Waterfront Platform within the Insurance, Pensions & Investment Business Unit is central to delivering the critical elements of our recently launched strategy to drive customer and adviser engagement through compelling digital experiences. The platform manages the experience of our customers across multiple channels - for end consumers, advisers and colleagues, and co-ordinates the development of consistent experiences in these channels across our business.
Within the Digital Waterfront Platform, the Adviser Experience Lab will lead on the transformation of the digital experience for our Financial Advisers. We have ambitious plans to modernise the experience and the range of services we offer to our Adviser base, including a lot of underlying infrastructure upgrading. Our aspiration is to become the best loved partner to Advisers with personalised digital experiences, data-led relationship management and industry leading service that enables end Customer success.
Working alongside a Lab Engineering Lead and Intermediary Distribution, the Lab Product Owner will set the plan that delivers the Adviser Experience strategy.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Supports development of Platform and Lab objectives and key results and provides product performance and benefits realisation data.
  • Inputs into business 4YOP, customer plan and tech roadmap as required.
  • Defines and prioritises Platform epics, features and stories which support Product strategy.
  • Shapes the overall Product Vision.
  • Owns Product roadmap, ensuring change compliance of overall Product.
  • Accountable for leading all aspects of product change governance (e.g. CMIA / SPFIA activities), business readiness activities. (e.g., training and comms)
  • Building a capable leadership team while investing in workforce development.
  • A leader in the Platform with line management responsibilities for more junior Product Owners.
  • Leads a team that deliver quality improvements to the products that supports delivery of the platform objectives and key results.
  • Supports the Integrator in the development of dependencies across labs and platforms.
  • Working with Intermediary Distribution to define, iterate and deliver the Adviser Experience strategy.

What you’ll need:
  • Product Ownership - You'll be accountable for platform backlog through leading cross functional teams to deliver simple and complex tech changes to its products, therefore we'll need you to have strong experience of Product Ownership to deliver platform backlog, ensuring quality performance and innovation to deliver successful products.
  • Partner Management - Manages internal and external partner expectations and business sponsorship, quickly establishing credibility and encouraging trust and ongoing collaboration. Ability to anticipate and mitigate issues together with shaping collaborator views to gain long-term commitment to current and potential future change.
  • Customer Centricity - Promotes value of customer outcomes with team and peers and ensures work efforts achieve these. Anticipates customer’s needs and uses customer input and steer to present targeted, integrated, and outcome-focused solutions and opportunities.
  • Leadership & Culture - Uses situational judgement and experience to advise on a broad range of cultural topics (e.g., ethical leadership and accountability), using strategies such as deep listening to ensure the colleagues of the Bank are engaged. Understands the importance of organisational change in this space and works with the appropriate function to facilitate this. You'll inspire delivery whilst encouraging simplicity and developing confidence & trust.
  • Experience in transforming the digital experience for Financial Advisers - An understanding of key industry trends and how technology can be used to deliver for our customers would be beneficial
