Job Summary: To ensure administrative and clerical duties within the Practice are carried out within the Practices guidelines and policies. To ensure the day-to day activities of the practice are carried out accordingly Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone Make appointments telephone/surgery as required Ensure all new registrations are entered onto the database Culling and sorting patient records and letters in preparation for summarising Filing and retrieving paperwork Keeping the reception area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstructions and clutter Completing referral's and checking the worklist Opening post Writing up minutes for the clinical meetings Scanning electronic and non-electronic letters onto the system
