Description
The Manchester Crematorium is looking for an apprentice in horticulture to join their gardening team. They will assist the gardening team with the general upkeep of the memorial gardens and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
To maintain the gardens as instructed by the operations manager.
Duties will include:

• Mowing and strimming.
• Weeding.
• Rose maintenance.
• Keeping the site clean and tidy for visitors to the gardens.
• All training will be given.

Entry requirements
GCSE Maths and English Level 3 or above desirable
Training to be provided

• Level 2 Horticulture apprenticeship standard.
• Functional skills Maths and English if required

Things to consider
No prior knowledge of gardening is essential but an interest in horticulture would be advantageous.
This is an outdoor position so applicant will work in all weathers.
Applicant should be physically fit.

Hours per week 40
Working week Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm
