Job description

Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprenticeship Coordinator and Lecturer/Trainer to join our dynamic team, ensuring the successful delivery of apprenticeship programs across various college sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the training process for apprentices to guarantee a high-quality experience and timely achievement of apprenticeships.
  • Undertake the roles of lecturer/trainer and assessor for an agreed caseload, adhering to the corporation's culture.
  • Conduct interviews and Initial Assessments for prospective apprentices.
  • Engage with employers to facilitate suitable employment opportunities for applicants.
  • Conduct contract set-up visits to employers before apprentices' enrolment.
  • Perform health and safety reviews of employers' premises and related monitoring activities.
  • Plan and deliver induction programs for all apprentices.
  • Ensure Individual Learning Plans/Commitment Statements are in place for all apprentices.
  • Prepare assessment plans in collaboration with employers and learners.
  • Coordinate off-job training, including Functional Skills, for apprentices.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching to an agreed annual caseload.
  • Monitor, review, and assess an appropriate caseload of apprentices throughout the North of England.
  • Act as Internal Quality Assurance for an agreed caseload in line with program requirements.
  • Identify and arrange pastoral support for apprentices as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and evidence to comply with funding and qualification requirements, utilizing ePortfolios and online learning platforms.
  • Liaise with the Head of Apprenticeships on curriculum development, course evaluation, and review matters.
  • Monitor and report on the completion of all components of the Apprenticeship Program.
  • Chair and administer regular course team meetings, ensuring timely apprenticeship completions.
  • Maintain a Course Team Rolling Action Plan and complete the Annual Course Review.
  • Manage and maintain learner morale and discipline, collaborating with college managers to ensure an appropriate learning environment.
  • Conduct high-quality Apprenticeship End Point Assessments for Land Based Assessments Limited within an agreed caseload.
  • Assist in promoting the College and recruiting for full and part-time courses.
  • Contribute to a sensitive and supportive approach to equality and diversity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant teaching and assessing qualifications.
  • Experience in coordinating apprenticeship programs.
  • Knowledge of current funding and qualification requirements.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to equality and diversity in education.
