rea Costing Manager (Office Manager) - South
The Project Support Manager has responsibility for the operational delivery of key finance process and administrative activities (processing, reporting, cost control and compliance) that support Project Managers on Murphy projects.
You will be responsible for the Project Support Coordinators in Kentish Town, Hemel Hempstead, Isle of Grain, Bristol and Cambridge and Beaulieu and will need to travel to this locations as and when needed. on Murphy projects.
What you will be doing
- Be responsible for maintaining key senior site-based relationship, in particular with the Project and Site Manager
- Be responsible for ensuring Murphy project managers are supported in a consistent, standard way across all projects
- The onboarding of new Project Support Co-Ordinators to ensure that standard practices are carried out for all Murphy projects
- Making the appropriate interventions (e.g. highlighting lack of process compliance) upon collecting/reviewing metrics to support SLA reporting and team performance monitoring
- Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement and of sharing best practice amongst the team
- Developing the team members within the team structure and supporting SSC wide talent management activity in line with the SSC People Plan
- Proposing the right mix of employees and contractors for the team, and proposing the sizing the team to meet business demands
Who we are looking for
- Experience working in a construction industry, with an understanding of the mechanics of the supply chain
- Experienced in the mechanics of cost control and project-based activity
- Managing staff in a process organised team, ideally Purchase to Pay process or broad business administration
- Experienced relationship manager
- Understanding of basic financial accounting practices, related to site and construction
- Well-developed people skills
- Construction Industry Site experience
