About The Role
Bidvest Noonan is seeking a skilled and experienced Accommodation Manager to oversee multiple departments and services at Imperial College London (ICL). The Accommodation Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services across designated areas within the campus.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Lead, direct, and oversee the operations of multiple estate, including facilities management, cleaning and other support services.
- Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and processes to optimize operational efficiency and service quality.
- Lead weekly and monthly meetings with clients.
- Continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
Performance Management:
- Set performance goals, KPIs, and targets for each department or area under supervision, monitoring progress and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and provide coaching to drive continuous improvement and employee development.
- Train, induct, supervise, and support the team.
- Conduct audits and inspections on machinery and equipment
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and client representatives at Imperial College London.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client communication, feedback, and issue resolution to ensure client satisfaction and alignment with contractual expectations.
- Ensure client satisfaction and address areas of concern or opportunity.
- Quote for new services and ad-hoc works.
- Benchmark services for best value.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage area budgets, forecasts, and financial reports in coordination with the finance department to ensure cost control and financial sustainability.
- Analyse financial data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make recommendations for resource allocation and budget optimization.
- Quote for new services and ad-hoc works.
- Ensure budget controls and best value for money.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and policies governing operations, health and safety, and service delivery within the designated areas.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and compliance checks to monitor service quality, identify areas for improvement, and mitigate risks.
- Maintain compliance by keeping contract documentation up to date.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards.
Team Development and Engagement:
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate department managers and staff to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence.
- Promote a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and recognize employee achievements to enhance morale and retention.
- Encourage and promote team spirit and development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, or related field; relevant certifications or postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in operations management, facilities management, or related field, with a demonstrated track record of managing multiple departments or areas effectively.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands effectively.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budget management, data interpretation, and report generation.
