Anti-Social Behaviour & Legal Advisor
Job type – Full Time, permanent
Salary – £32,235 per annum + Benefits
Hours – 35 hours per week (+ 5 hour paid lunch)
Location – Homebased/Hybrid Working
You will be expected to travel to assist with training/attend meetings and to represent Nacro at court. Nacro’s services are geographically spread across England and Wales so this may also include overnight stays.

Who we are looking for?
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Anti-Social Behaviour & Legal Advisor to join our Central Housing Management Team.
The successful candidate will be committed to encourage, develop, and support joint agency working between operational teams, Local Authority housing departments, other council departments, social service and other outside agencies. They will also provide a comprehensive information and support service to all front-line officers dealing with neighbour nuisance, anti-social behaviour, and complex tenure issues.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Early intervention and prevention strategies and work with customers, Supported Housing Officers, and Support staff to resolve matters speedily.
- Dealing with the more serious cases of neighbour nuisance, tenure issues and antisocial behaviour including where closure orders or where county lines activity is taking place.
- You will prepare witness statements, Injunction/Possession Applications/other legal remedies and attend and represent Nacro at court. This will all be working alongside the Housing Service Leads and their teams.
- You will be required to travel regularly to provide training, support and build close working relationships with local teams. You may be visiting clients in their homes and attending meetings at different locations and representing at court. Therefore, it would be an advantage if you have a current driving licence and daily use of a vehicle.
- Attend public meetings, often held outside normal working hours. You will identify and keep a directory of local partnership forums where community issues and ASB matters can be discussed.
Experience Required:
- 2 years’ housing management experience at court level.
- Experience of dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour and tenure breaches, including prevention and all legal action.
- Knowledge of ASB within a supported housing environment and different ways to manage ASB
