Working on behalf of our client, a specialist supplier of aircraft interior products, we are looking to recruit an Assembly Technician to assist in all areas of the manufacturing process
The job:
To produce all seat plastics components to the highest quality standard, including but not restricted to the following processes (scraping, tool making, vacuum forming, trimming, gluing and assembly)
- To read and understand basic engineering drawings and 1st and 3rd Angle projection
- To assist in stock control/stores/inspection/part marking and packaging.
- To keep all areas clean and tidy in accordance with regular 5S housekeeping schedule
- To attend any training programs associated with ASL aircraft approvals.
- To help out in the inspection area when required including packing and boxing up components.
- To kit components as required.
- To adhere to all ASL Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- To make management aware of any issues that may affect the operations
- To drive Company vehicle for collection/deliveries as and when required.
About you:
- To be competent and proficient in the use of all workshop machinery through the company training program.
- To be capable of reading and understanding Standard Measuring Equipment SME.
- To be familiar with material traceability and equipment calibration requirements.
- To be able to work flexibly and to achieve timescales/targets.
- To be flexible towards hours of work and carry out overtime during busy periods
- Shifts may change to suit business operational requirements including night shift
