Title: Trustcall (Alert & Response) Technician

Contract type: Fixed-Term, Full-Time up to 12 months

Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week

Location: Sale Point, Manchester and within and around the Trafford Borough (Our office in Sale Point, Manchester will be relocating to Old Trafford by Spring 2025)

Salary: Starting at £26,225 per annum plus additional enhancements for working unsociable hours

L&Q Living currently have an opportunity for a Trustcall (Alert & Response) Technician to join our Trustcall team.

 

The Trustcall service aims to give customers and their families’ peace of mind through the knowledge there is always help available at the press of a button. The team provides, alarm call handling, telecare equipment, CCTV and out of hours repairs call handling.

 

As a Trustcall (Alert & Response) Technician you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and responding to emergency calls from vulnerable clients across Trafford
  • Fitting alarm equipment which requires the use of basic DIY skills
  • Providing help and support to customers and signposting them to relevant support services
  • Dealing with emergency out of hours repairs calls
  • Updating the CRM system
  • Monitoring the Trust’s CCTV
  • Partnership working with agencies such as the Police and Social Services

 

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills with relevant practical work experience in a customer focused environment
  • An awareness of issues and barriers older and vulnerable customers face with the ability to identify the needs of others and provide support and guidance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to make people feel at ease
  • Basic DIY skills (e.g. using drills)
  • Full driving license

 

As a requirement of the role you will be working 7.25 hour shifts between 6am to 9pm Monday to Sunday (including bank holidays) on a rota basis. Additional enhancements are paid for working unsociable hours (50% for weekend shifts and 20% for weekday hours worked between 6am to 8am and 8pm to 9pm).
