Part time Assistant Accountant required for a company based near to Banbury.
Salary £30,000 - £34,000 p.a FTE (£18,000 to £20,400 actual)
22.5 hours per week, office-based position.
Our client is a fast-growing provider of consumer products and due to growth, they are now looking to recruit a part-time accounts assistant, to support the Financial Controller.
This is a varied and interesting role, which will incorporate general transactional accounting duties, as well as other administrative HR tasks. You will be qualified to at least AAT level 3, have a solid bookkeeping / accounts preparation background, great attention to detail and good, general communication skills. As this is an SME sized company, you will also need to be flexible and happy to take on other administrative duties from time to time.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Entering invoices and payments.
* Bank reconciliations.
* Weekly and ad-hoc payment runs.
* Reconciling supplier and customer accounts.
* Resolving queries.
* Preparation of the monthly VAT return.
* Preparation of monthly management accounts to trial balance.
* General HR admin tasks, including recruitment administration such as background checks and referencing etc.
* Monitoring and ordering supplies for the office and other ad-hoc duties as required.
Experience and Skills Required
* At least qualified to AAT level 3 or equivalent.
* Experience of using Sage Accounts would be beneficial.
* A good understanding of accounts to trial balance, including depreciation, prepayments and accruals, and preparing your own journals.
* Good MS Excel and MS Word skills (MS Office).
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Great attention to detail.
* Trustworthy, with some experience of managing confidential documentation.
* Proactive approach and able to meet deadlines.
* Own transport due to rural office location.
