Assistant Accountant – Worksop – £28,000 - £32,000 + Study Support
Our Worksop based client has a new role for an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. This role will mainly provide support to the Finance Manager to ensure the completion of all monthly reconciliations. This role would suit someone with a three years’ experience or a graduate looking to kick start their career in a fantastic stable business. Assistant Accountant Responsibilities:

• Calculate quarterly intercompany recharges, billing for royalty/license fees and monthly intercompany accruals.
• Reconcile intercompany loans between the Group Treasury System and SAP.
• Prepare management accounts for two companies.
• Monthly reporting of results for two companies to the Group.
• Process monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts with external parties in a timely manner.
• Preparing a Group FX analysis on a monthly basis. 
• Complete budget and forecast templates.
• Process general ledger accounting journals in SAP and the Group Treasury System.
• Complete national statistics returns.
• Ensure internal and external customer queries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and tax packs

Required Skills & Experience:

• AAT qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA
• A comprehensive understanding of accounting systems and the interaction of ledgers would be advantageous but not essential
• Knowledge of treasury functions would be advantageous but not essential e.g. intercompany loans
• Confident communicator both verbally and written
• Ability to juggle work load and adapt
• Strong problem solver
