An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a highly motivated and dynamic team in a long-standing and expanding creative technology company. This position is a great opportunity to join a vibrant company and to develop their career alongside them.
The Assistant Accountant is responsible for many of the day to day finance activities of the Company, supported by the Bookkeeper. You will also play a crucial role in supporting the Management Accountant in their role, and additional projects, and can lead in making sure that they are using the best suppliers, negotiating good trade discounts, and that staff are using the correct processes.
Assistant Accountant Key Responsibilities:
- Setup new clients
- Raise invoices UK and Dubai, upload onto client portal (processes)
- Credit Control
- Chase up POs
- Create payment run list and set up payments - UK and Dubai
- Supplier queries and statement recs
- Bank Reconciliations
- Manage Pleo - staff expenses and credit cards
- Set up Payroll Payments for UK and Dubai
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Basic balance sheet reconciliation
- Assisting with projects such as - reviewing suppliers for cost effective solutions, negotiating contracts, process improvements
Assistant Accountant Key Attributes Required:
- AAT Qualified or QBE
- Previous experience in a finance department in a creative/design/ design technology company
- Strong background in managing AP and AR function and GAAP
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of numeracy and literacy
- Strong systems experience
- Proven Excel skills
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
