Staffline Ireland is currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to jo join or client, a leading provider of subscription management solutions, on a temporary basis at their site in Belfast. This will be a temporary position for circa 2 months and will require the successful applicant to attend the office at least once per week.

Duties:

• Process journal entries daily in Sage Intacct including posting of All Bank transactions.
• Laise with Accounts Payable and Billing team daily for the payments paid and received into the bank accounts.
• Create and Post Prepaid Expense Schedules in Sage Intacct and update the Amortization files/ schedules on regular basis.
• Performing accruals for expenses and updating the respective accrual schedules for audit trail.
• Performing Monthly and Quarterly Sales Commission calculations, accruals and posting of transactions in Sage Intacct. Update Commission schedules / trackers for accuracy
• Post transactions and categorise records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses) – Maintaining Fixed Asset registers / schedules for all legal entities.
• Reconcile bank statements for the month end closing.
• Supporting month-end, quarter end and year-end closures.
• Performing Balance Sheet reconciliations (including Inter-Company) for all legal entities.
• Supporting and Updating accounting policies documents as directed by the Controller.
• Supporting the Ad Hoc projects assigned and timely completion of it.

Criteria:

• BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
• Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Expert Level Excel Skills Required (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.)
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience preferably in a software / technology company
• Basic understanding of accounting procedures, internal and external reporting and variance analysis
• Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
