Assistant Accountant - Up To £32,000

JHE & Partners are pleased to be working with a Bradford manufacturer who are looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven accounts assistant / Assistant Accountant to join a niche subsidiary business, with the financial backing of a larger group.

Reporting into the financial controller, you will work in a small finance team with responsibilities ranging across ledger management, currencies, reconciliations and intercompany group reporting. This is a role where you can gain wider exposure to accounting working with a knowledgeable and supportive FC.

Ideally you will be AAT qualified or mid-way through your AAT qualification, although qualified by experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.

Duties include:

• Overseeing the purchase ledger - match, batch and code onto system
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Overseeing and responsibility for the payment runs
• Daily report on Excel using various data manipulation techniques (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, IF statements etc)
• Producing cashflow report
• Daily bank reconciliations
• Intercompany group reconciliations
• Reconciling petty cash
• Compiling weekly management pack
• Ad hoc duties as standard within a small accounts office

You must have a good level of Excel experience to be considered for this role. Salary on offer in region of £30,000 - £32,000, 25 days holiday + bank, auto enrolled pension, BUPA healthcare, life assurance.
