This is a French Speaking role.
Support the UK finance team in the management of all daily finance operations and transactional processes throughout the UK business. This will typically include opportunities to support all UK finance workstreams including purchase ledger, bank and cash management, debt management, credit control and financial and management accounting.
This successful applicant will have exposure to all the key finance process and will have the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of finance workstreams.
The holder of this role will have exposure to a wide variety of finance processes with responsibility to deliver within agreed timelines from the outset.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
· Accounts Receivable and Credit Control:
o Support the processing and the daily, weekly and monthly bank and accounts receivable processes including BACS/SEPA submissions and reconciliations
o Support all credit and debt management functions across Safestore including customer account management and related control processes
o Support all revenue and pricing controls including triaging all company pricing requests and communication and escalation across all Safestore head office departments and store teams
· Purchase and Sales Ledger: Alongside purchase controls and reporting, support all purchase and sales ledger processes including:
o Invoice and payment processing, period-end, purchase ledger/supplier reconciliations
o General ledger processing, supporting all Head Office team requirements
· Financial and Management Accounts: Assist the senior finance team across all required monthly management and financial accounting processes
· Customer Service: As front-line store liaison for all Safestore group stores, a dedicated customer-focus is required at all times and in accordance with the Safestore Finance Service Charter
o Contribution and management of all business-wide support services from Finance including the department mailbox, the department intranet, and the department Yapster account
· Risk and Compliance: Adherence to policies, procedures and routines at all times. This will include support to all customers (internal/external) in their adherence to Safestore policies
Note in addition to the details listed above you will be required to carry out any other duties as required across the Safestore group of companies
Experience and Skills Required
· Good Excel and IT skills capable of data extraction, data manipulation and reporting
· Strong understanding of finance transactional/operational processes with a customer service background
· A motivated self-starter who is confident in using their initiative
· Able to communicate confidently and build business relationships at any level of the organisation
· Dedicated team player, capable and willing to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled team
· Strong organizational skills supporting both individual and team-level tasks
· Able to work under pressure and deliver according to strict deadlines
· Demonstrates business acumen with experience of supporting both finance and non-finance personnel
