Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant, fully remote, London based Creative Agency, ASAP start

Altum Consulting are partnering exclusively with a London based Creative Agency to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This role is for an initial 6-month contract with the potential to become permanent after this period of time. The successful candidate will be involved in all the day-to-day financial aspects of the Group and will report directly into the Group Financial Controller.

Role responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Transactional finance duties (Purchase & Sales ledgers, supplier invoices, sales invoices, credit notes, billing etc)
• Bank reconciliation
• Credit control
• Prepping payment run processes
• Dealing with internal and external queries
• VAT returns

Month end Process:

• Support in the preparation of management accounts on a monthly basis
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and month end journal posting
• Accruals and prepayments

You\'ll be/have:

• Previous exposure supporting in month end processes and analysis
• Confident Excel and systems skills - Experience with Xero an advantage
• Excellent communication skills and able to interact at all levels.
• Experience within a creative agency desirable
• Interest and experience working in a fast paced, high growth organisation
• Immediately available/short notice period
