We are seeking a talented Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic Global Record to Report team. As an Assistant Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate processing of financial controls, accounting, and reporting activities, all while delivering exceptional support to key stakeholders across our diverse departments. This role is based at our Finance Hub in Basingstoke on a hybrid basis (3 days onsite).
In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive best practices and process efficiencies, while maintaining strong relationships with business partners and recommending operational improvements. You will ensure timely completion of tasks in line with accounting policies, taking ownership of balance sheet accounts and conducting comprehensive reviews with Finance stakeholders.
Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing monthly journals, delivering accurate month-end reporting across international legal entities, assisting in month-end analysis and commentary, completing balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining financial controls, and liaising with audit teams to ensure compliance.

- Demonstrated finance experience, preferably in a shared services role.
- Part-qualified and studying ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Proficient in month-end close processes.
- Experience in process improvements and standardising finance processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Proactive individual comfortable in a flexible and changing environment.
- Communication skills necessary to coordinate month-end close across multiple functions.
- Attention to detail with a proactive approach to obtaining appropriate supporting evidence.
