Robertson Bell are excited to partner with this significant and established public sector organisation as they go to market for an Assistant Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. Assisting in the production of management accounts and support to a large directorate, you will play pivotal role in ensuring the wider organisation are supported in any budget queries and that month-end processes run smoothly.

Responsibilities of this Assistant Finance Business Partner role includes:

• Aiding in the production of management accounts, by taking the lead in producing accruals, prepayments, posting journals, and reconciling the ledger
• Assisting the Senior Finance Business Partner by liaising with internal stakeholders and offering insight into their monthly activities, budgets and forecasts
• Supporting in the production of management accounts by ensuring all information and figures for your directorate are correct and processed in a timely manner 

• Working closely with internal departments, building and maintaining relationships to ensure effective communication

This exciting opportunity is Largely Remote, with the expectation you can travel to their offices in Sussex or Surrey once a month. The successful Assistant Finance Business Partner will:

• Be qualified to AAT, degree level, or equivalent
• Have good Excel skills and be able to perform vlookups, pivottables and index matches
• Understand month-end processes and have exposure to the production of accruals, prepayments and adjustment journals
• Be a driven individual that is willing to learn and grow within an exciting organisation
• Have experience working with a finance software such as Sage, Oracle, Agresso or similar
