Assistant Finance Business Partner opportunity to join a renowned public sector organisation on a permanent part time basis. My client is looking for a committed and engaging individual who is an experienced Assistant Finance Business Partner to add value to the existing friendly finance team.

As the Assistant Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for providing budget holders with a robust Business Partnering Service, alongside other duties below;

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Finance Business Partner

• Responsibility for the maintenance and production aspects of the monthly management accounts
• Provision of critical and insightful challenge supported by robust financial data to assigned budget holders and other key stakeholders ensuring that there is clear accountability and performance can be measured
• Deliver month end procedures including journal preparation and reconciliation as appropriate
• Support the development and delivery of the annual budget
• Influence and educate budget holders across the business in their financial understanding and impact on financial outcomes through clear communication and appropriate training and support
• Supported the Financial Accounting team in the delivery of timely and accurate regulatory returns
• Support the annual statutory audit cycle via the provision of robust data and business insight
• Develop good working relationships with key external stakeholders (eg auditors, regulatory contacts)

Required skills and experience of the Assistant Finance Business Partner

• Ideally working towards either CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualification or equivalent
• Ability to build relationships and adapt services to meet others needs
• Experience of management accounts production and reporting
• Experience of internal control monitoring, review process and system development
• High level of IT skills
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of analytical skills
