Assistant Financial Accountant

Spencer Clarke Group are pleased to be partnered with an impressive FMCG organisation with offices based in the heart of Manchester City Centre to recruit an Assistant Accountant due to expansion.

This truly international company are looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to support the Finance Manager in the day-to-day management of the finance function.

As an international company you will be assisting with the production of accounts in multiple currencies, ensuring compliance with local practices & standards.

About the role

Based in Manchester, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations
• Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Assistance with audits and in country filings
• Support with FP&A work for the region
• Cost control and accounting for retail products 
• Assisting with budgets & forecasts

About you

The ideal candidate for this position must have:

• Experience working in a global environment
• AAT qualified or part qual ACCA preferred
• Experience performing multicurrency consolidations
• Experience and exposure to IFRS

Experience which is not essential but desirable includes:

• Experience with cost and inventory accounting
• Experience in the manufacturing sector desired but not necessary
• Software experience: QB Advanced, SAP Business One
• Spanish speaking (optional)

What's on offer

• Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
