We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team, offering a hybrid working model with 2 days in the office per week. The successful candidate will be involved in preparing various reporting packages and assisting with the year-end audit. This role is ideal for someone with a proactive mindset, a passion for efficiency and improvement, and a strong background in finance.
Day to Day of the role:
- Work with the Financial Accounting Manager to prepare reporting packages for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Populate quarterly reporting packages in Excel for Group Accounting for UK and ROI Insurance operations.
- Assist with regulatory reporting packages for the Revenue and Tax Authorities in the UK and ROI.
- Ensure compliance with standards required by Senior Finance staff, accounting standards, and internal and Group requirements.
- Keep process guides up to date to ensure tasks are carried out in line with reporting requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors to provide requested information promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date reconciliations and provide explanations for auditor queries.
- Actively contribute to team projects and provide support and cover for colleagues within the finance department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate in a relevant subject and qualified to at least AAT Level 4.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Finance role.
- Proficiency in Excel and comfortable working with IT solutions.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Working towards an accountancy qualification is desirable.
- Ideally, 1+ years of exposure to Financial Accounting.
- Experience with SAP and Concur is advantageous.
