CODA Search is pleased to be working with a British school in the UAE who is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and ambitious Assistant Head Teacher who will lead Year 3 and Year 4 (Lower Key Stage 2) and report to the Head of Primary.
The appointee needs to be able to offer leadership of learning, support pastoral development, help to manage the day-to-day operation of the school and play a major role in our strategic planning in the primary school, particularly in Key Stage 2.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- To work closely with Head of Primary as well as other members of the senior leadership team.
- To be responsible for managing staff, curriculum and assessment for lower key stage 2 in the primary school.
- To continue to help us to raise the standards of teaching & learning, on a day-to-day basis.
- To work effectively with other school leaders, helping to promote and embed the school’s mission and vision statements.
- To maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders - parents, staff and pupils.
- To implement and support the School’s Vision & Mission and School Improvement Plan with clarity and commitment.
- To drive excellence in teaching and learning throughout Year 3 and Year 4.
- To review and further develop the pastoral systems in the school to ensure a smooth transition between phases.
- To support the Heads of Year to implement change, provide strong curriculum leadership and ensure there is a high commitment to academic progress and the well-being of all students.
- To help to develop assessment to ensure that every student makes excellent levels of progress, ensuring this is reflected in robust internal data and internationally benchmarked tests.
- To create a culture where collaborative, progressive learning is highly valued amongst staff and students, be engaging, possess excellent communication skills and have strong emotional intelligence.
- To be responsible to promote and safeguard the welfare of all students in the school.
This is a full-time vacancy with a start date of 15th August 2024.

Essential: PGCE or B.Ed. with QTS
Preferable: International experience/ NPQML or NPQSL
