ABOUT THE ROLES
We are seeking three enthusiastic volunteers to contribute to our Community Support Group (CSG). You will meet quarterly, and together with the Community Leader, will apply your expertise and passion to help us achieve our goals. These are:
- to make known the gifts of people with learning disabilities through mutually transforming relationships.
- foster an environment that responds to the changing needs of our members.
- engage in our diverse cultures, working together towards a more human society.
For all three roles you will:
Either have direct experience or lived experience of professional supported living/care services have senior leadership and management experience ideally have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities demonstrate enthusiasm and interest for the purpose of L’Arche and empathy with our values and current strategy form a key part of the Community’s support team, helping it to shape and lead the Community’s future
Service – help usto strengthen achievement of our service delivery strategy.
The person who is most suited to this role will:
- be familiar with CQC standards and how they practically apply to supported living services have knowledge of risk assessments and know how to mitigate risks collaborate and co create pragmatic solutions
Outreach and Community - develop our outreach capability, create opportunities, build networks, and make connections to achieve growth
The people most suited to these roles will:
Build partnerships and collaborations to engage people increase awareness about our community horizon scan, spot opportunities and see these through network and use connections to achieve goals support event and engagement activities
Outreach: advocate for adults with learning disabilities, and have experience of working with volunteers
Community: have experience of marketing and social media channels, have knowledge and experience of fundraising (bid writing a bonus!)
