Job Title: Assistant HR Officer
Location: Exeter
Salary: 14.17 ph
Monday to Friday
Contract: Fixed-Term (12 months)
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant HR Officer to join our client on the outskirts of Exeter. This fixed-term post has been created to support the payroll and pension teams with the delivery of time-critical pensions related project work.
As the Assistant HR Officer you will be responsible for maintaining and updating essential spreadsheets, databases and systems, in accordance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR legislation.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- To collate payroll and HR information required for payroll and pension administration purposes.
- To support with the resolution of payroll and pension data queries.
- To assist in the collation and submission of accurate information to the pension administration team for individuals leaving the service.
- To comply with all service policies and relevant legislation.
- To provide support to other members of the HR team, including but not exclusive of the following:
- Administration and clerical duties, such as mail merges, scanning, filing, and photocopying.
- Dealing with general queries through various media (email/teams/telephone).
- Diary management, organising and attending meetings, preparing documents and data prior to meetings.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a wide range of stakeholders.
- An aptitude for figure work and data analysis, proven ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Good planning, organisational and time management skills along with excellent ICT skills, including a proven ability to use MS Excel at advanced level.
