What you'll do:

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department by performing routine accounting tasks. You will be responsible for assisting in the production of monthly management accounts, reviewing overheads, maintaining the fixed asset register, reconciling policies, producing VAT return reports, and supporting transactional finance functions. Your ability to multitask, work under pressure, and your strong desire to learn will be key to your success in this role.

Assist in the production of monthly management accounts within agreed timescales
Review overheads for any capital or intercompany expenditure along with identifying any additional accruals or prepayments
Maintain the fixed asset register and post journals from policy software onto accounting software
Reconcile monthly movement of policies and intercompany imbalances, investigating any variances
Produce quarterly VAT return reports and assist with statutory audit requests
Support transactional finance functions and undertake variance analysis
Build and maintain excellent working relationships with appropriate stakeholders
Support ad hoc projects and strive to improve processes and controls

What you bring:
