This Assistant Management Accountant role will be one that you can truly make your own, as it is newly developed, and they’re looking to progress someone through the ranks as they become more experienced.

The Assistant Management Accountant will mainly be responsible for supporting the wider finance team with monthly reporting, producing management packs, VAT returns and commission calculations for a large sales function.

This role requires a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail, as both are vital skills for delivering exceptional results.

The Successful Assistant Management Accountant will:

• Assist with all aspects of development and effective operation of financial systems and procedures
• Ensure that colleagues are kept informed of the financial performance of the organisation through regular preparation, analysis and reporting of monthly accounts
• Support the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts
• Revenue reconciliation & analysis
• Posting of journals
• Stock reconciliations
• Processing accruals and prepayments
• Preparing and submitting relevant VAT returns
• Updating the monthly cash flow reports
• Assist with year-end
• Maintain a highly visible and professional profile within the organisation

To be successful

• You will  ideally  be studying an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with several years' working experience in a finance function
• You will possess excellent accounting systems and excel knowledge
• You will have the ability to build, maintain and develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• The key to success here is to be enthusiastic, detailed, and eager to learn
