Assistant Management Accountant

SF Group are delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing business in Halesowen as they look to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. This business have been operating for over 100 years and have grown signifcantly recently due to investment and acquisitions. You will report into a supportive Finance Manager and be part of a team and business where the culture is very much people centric. 
The ideal Assistant Management Accountant will be at least AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA. You will be responsible for supporting the finance function by providing accurate and timely financial information to help drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Supporting the financial planning and analysis process
- Preparation of weekly and monthly KPI reports
- Maintaining accurate accounting records and reconciliations
- Preparation of VAT and other statutory returns
- Assisting with the year-end audit process
- Ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
- Part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or AAT Qualified
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing business
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting software
