Role: Assistant Manager / Location: Dorking / Salary: £22,000-£25,000 plus bonus / Hours of work: Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm plus alternate Saturdays 9am-12.30pm
Pink Hippo Self Storage are opening a new store and we are looking for an energetic, sales motivated, Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager at our brand new Dorking store in all aspects of running the facility and helping to grow the business from day one of opening.
The successful candidate will be target driven with good sales and customer service skills. Ideally you will have some previous experience in retail, customer service industry or have a background in sales of some kind. The candidate should be confident and willing to learn as they will be involved in all aspects of the business. This is a customer facing role. The candidate should be confident at working towards sales targets, working within a small team and want to exceed expectations. Good computer skills are preferred.

The Assistant Manager we are looking for:
- Someone who is friendly, approachable, and a real people person.
- Someone who is able to work in a small team as well as on your own.
- Someone keen to learn and has a get up and go attitude ready to support the store manager in all aspects of running the store.
- Someone to provide a high level of customer service in person, on the phone or via email.
- Someone confident in negotiating day to day as well as promoting the store and the company.
- Someone well organised, has an ability to plan and time manage well.
- Someone who is great at listening and can handle customer requests well keeping customer service in mind from start to end.
- Someone who is committed to assist and deliver on all targets.
- Someone who has previous sales experience and customer service role is preferred but not necessary.
- Someone confident in building relationships with the local businesses to help create brand awareness.
- Someone who is local to the Dorking area.
Our ideal Assistant Manager will have:
- The ability to perform in a fast paced demanding environment with minimal supervision.
- Previous sales experience and/or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- To actively participate and generate ideas to help develop the business further.
