Osborne Richardson is delighted to be working with a leading home planning company who are looking for an Assistant Planning Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be experienced, capable and passionate about planning.

The role specifics
In this role you will support planning input across the company required to promote and deliver their development sites. You'll be supporting company-wide monitoring and evidencing of regional obligations and condition trackers to ensure compliance. This role will also support house sales and assist in the identification and promotion of new development opportunities.
You will liaise, consult and negotiate with regions and relevant external organisations, including attending public consultation and stakeholder events. You will also monitor Central and Local Government policies, guidance and advice, whilst providing advice and assistance to colleagues and trainees on planning matters.
You will also be expected to provide advice to the Group Planning Director as required and assist them with research and analysis to help guide and influence business in relation to planning and new land investment. This role also assists in the preparation of monthly reports to the Leadership Team on planning matters of importance to the business. You'll be expected to support preparation of a Monthly Planning Bulletin and a Monthly Planning Appeals Note as well.
Role requirements
For this position you must have a BA/BSc (Hons) Planning Studies and/or postgrad Diploma in Planning Studies. You will also need to be a Licentiate Member/Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
Previous relevant experience in consultancy or development company would be preferable, and you should be able to demonstrate site appraisal/negotiation/communication skills and knowledge of planning/legal process. Some public sector experience is also an advantage.
Reward
You'll be offered a salary ranging between £43,000 - £53,000 per annum for this role, depending on your experience and qualifications. The role also comes with full benefits.
