This is an exciting opportunity to join the school as an Attendance Officer.
The successful candidate will monitor and report on the attendance of students, across years 7-13, in line with the Schools attendance policy. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team, making a positive difference to the outcomes of students within the school.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all daily registers are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Managing daily absence calls and logging relevant information on SIMS from 7:30am
- Running truancy calls on a daily basis
- Being the first point of contact for parents to discuss attendance and sending letters as necessary in a timely manner and to a high standard
- Working closely with the Head of Years to identify students who require intervention on their attendance and providing relevant support as necessary
- Provide accurate and well presented monthly attendance data analysis to SLT/HOY
- Working with parents and external agencies for students who are school refusers
- Collaborate with Attendance Officers within the GLF Schools network

Experience working in a school environment and knowledge of student attendance is desirable.

The details
Salary (GLF Specialist): FTE £24,982 to £28,604 per annum
Actual salary: £22,594.01 - £25,869.79 per annum
Hours of work: Full time (36 hours per week), 41 weeks per year (term time plus 2 weeks).
